Fish - creature rig
This water creature had some real attention to detail. Based lightly on a fighting fish, this was proof of concept in what we could achieve in terms of control and ancillary animations - many of the animation abilities of this rig were tied into its anitcipated movement controls - certain movements and speed of position animation would alter animation in the fins and tail
Due to the highy fluid and organic nature of the fish fins we experimented with several methods of realisticaly and accuratly animating them so we could find a solution that was realsitc and managable. There is emphasis here on making a Creature Rig usable in a relatively fast paced production environment - the animator needs to have the speed and flexbility to see the results of their animation.
