o be deployed at various medical conventions and symposia for the next few years - an interactive challenge was to be designed and built as a cross platform application that would show delegates and potential users of the TEVAdaptor range of safe Closed Medication System components.
t was intended to have several ‘missions’ to complete - these would be made as CGI animations of certain sets of components performing a specific common type of drug administration and/or reconstitution. The variations in the assembly sequences would show a diverse range and use of the components as possible.These would then be incorporated into an application that allows the user to attempt to assemble the required components in the correct order in the quickest time.
here were more than 40 separate 3D models that were required to made, some were available in various CAD [computer aided design] formats, some items we would have to create. Once all these models were made, many of them needed to be ‘rigged’ so they worked and animated as they would behave in the real world. We also had a complete set of the real components used in the range that was invaluable reference for the team.
comprehensive storyboard was also required so the team of animators working on all of these sequences new the exact order of all the components and how they worked/connected to one another. The other factor also is the important order of not only the apparatus but the order of operation and manual intervention in making some constituent drug preparations.
